Hello! I'm Lila Rozario, from England and I am a passionate English tutor with a Master's degree in Environment and Development Studies, a degree in Geography and Development Studies as well as a PGCE in TESOL. My teaching philosophy revolves around creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable exploring and growing. I specialize in teaching ESL, IELTS, and English to adult/professional and college-level students. I have over ten years of experience of teaching English to people whose first language is not English, preparing students for ESOL examinations in their reading, writing, speaking and listening skills based on Cambridge ESOL, Trinity ESOL and Exdecel ESOL examinations. Since 2014 I have been teaching English online for various teaching companies in South East Asia, teaching subjects such as Daily English, Business English, Oxford University Press English, Pre-Starters Cambridge English and exam preparation for IELTS and TOEFL, teaching students in group sessions and one-to-one. As an ESL, IELTS, and English tutor, I specialize in teaching Adult, Professional, and College Students. My teaching style focuses on being Engaging, Creative, Motivational, Interactive, and Practical. I believe in using interactive grammar exercises to make learning dynamic and immersive. I provide e-books with annotations, interactive grammar tools, and multimedia resources for literature analysis. In my teaching, I ensure that learners participate in the learning process in the classroom by incorporating student-centred teaching strategies such as discussions, gap-filling activities and role-play activities. For younger children and teenagers, I would use teaching aids to enhance the lesson, such as educational toys to show different types of animals, flashcards to reinforce vocabulary and paper shapes to reinforce colours or shapes. I often would reward learners with stars and I also incorporated TPR (Total Physical Response) in my teaching strategies.I offer honest feedback to help my students improve their writing and analysis skills, which has led to success in high school and college admissions essays.
