Collaborative Biology lessons with engaging support

My teaching methodology usually consists of asking students the key concepts/background info that they already know and then stating the concepts they need help understanding. Based on this information, I would go through the key concepts in manageable chunks and in an 'easy-to-digest' way while also asking questions throughout the process. Additionally, I would send them a summarized outline of the major topics we went over as well as practice problems with the answer key attached if necessary. A great learning experience that keeps students engaged and self-assured in their ability to study is what I constantly strive for!
