I am American and I have been a teacher in international schools since 2000. I have taught English, French and Art. In the art room we use the artistic process as a tool to develop ideas and English communication skills. Personally, I have learnt to speak several European languages, most recently Dutch. I understand how challenging and rewarding foreign language acquisition can be. I am happy to support you to improve your English communication skills. Together we can formulate a learning plan to suit your goals. We will work on improving pronunciation, sentence structure & writing skills. It is up to the student to choose the focus of your own learning.

As an ESL English tutor, I cater to students of all levels by incorporating an empathetic, creative, interactive, motivational, and patient teaching approach. I focus on enhancing reading comprehension through literary analysis and effective communication strategies. We will take a creative approach to guide you on your English language journey. We will improve the ease with which you can express yourself using clear and concise English. My experience is that if a student is actively engaged in the learning process, results quickly follow. Remember, you should feel relaxed to make mistakes as you improve your English. This is how we learn, by being brave and daring to fail in order to succeed.
