Math Maverick: Turning Numbers into Understandable Concepts with Precision!

Hello! I'm Jelil Adedokun, a mathematics tutor with over 16 years of teaching experience. I have a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with a First Class grade. I also possess a Masters degree in the same Electrical and Electronics Engineering with a Distinction grade. Prior to this, I had obtained National Diploma (ND) certificate and Higher National Diploma (HND) certificate with Upper Credit grade in each case. I started teaching in 2007 after I finished my Higher National Diploma (HND). So far, I taught subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, Basic Sciences and Further Mathematics in various Primary and Secondary schools. After completion of my First degree in 2015, I continued my teaching in some secondary schools where I also taught Mathematics, Physics, Basic Sciences and Further Mathematics between 2016 and 2019. From 2019 till date, I have been a lecturer at the university where I obtained my First degree and Masters degree. At this university, I have so far taught Mathematics based courses. Also, as a remote Electrical and Electronics Engineering lecturer at iLearn Engineering, Manchester, United Kingdom, I have so far developed learning material on Principles of Electrical and Electronics Engineering for the organisation and course curriculums on units such as Electric Vehicle, Instrumentation and Control Systems, and Communications, Networks and Digital Signal Processing. I love to teach in order to solve mathematics-related problems for students who have issues with mathematics and to impact in students both academically and socially.

As a dedicated math tutor on this platform, I specialize in Elementary School Math, GCSE Maths, GED Math, and more. My teaching style is structured and interactive, focusing on problem-solving and detailed explanations. I believe in concept-focused learning to ensure students grasp the fundamentals. By utilizing visual learning techniques and annotated problem-solving steps on a digital whiteboard, I help students at all levels significantly improve their grades. I am committed to making math engaging and accessible for every student, ensuring that each session is valuable and productive. Part of my teaching style is to give students classwork and mark them in order to test the level of their understanding of whatever I teach. I commend those who get it and explain in better ways for those who may not have gotten what I teach. Also, I give assignments to students to further ascertain their level of understanding of what I teach and also to engage them at home so that they don't forget whatever I teach them once they live the class. This keeps students brains fresh on whatever I teach them. Furthermore, I'm a teacher that is always ready to entertain questions from students and attend to them both within and outside the class. I develop excellent personal relationship with my students in order for them to be free to me and pour out their mind for me to solve their academic and non-academic problems for them. This attitude has helped students to like me and develop interest in whatever I teach them because a student can't have interest in a subject being taught by a teacher he doesn't like. Consequently, students do excel very well in what I teach them.
