The Student and Tutor explored the Socratic method and its six types of questioning. They practiced identifying and applying these question types through examples and a role-play scenario focused on addressing underperformance. Future sessions will continue with constructive feedback and linguistic techniques for diffusing emotional situations.

The tutor and student focused on enhancing communication skills, specifically active listening techniques for checking understanding and building on ideas. They practiced paraphrasing, confirming comprehension, and using phrases to connect and build upon others' contributions, especially in scenarios involving agreement and disagreement. The student was encouraged to practice these linguistic tools at home through self-recording.
