Chess Champ: Unleash Your Creativity with Interactive Strategies!

Hello everyone! My name is Victor Hugo Collado and I am excited to share my passion for teaching chess with you. With a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, I believe in creating a fun and engaging learning environment for students of all levels - from school children to adults and professionals. My teaching philosophy revolves around making complex concepts simple and understandable, encouraging critical thinking skills, and fostering a love of the game. Through interactive and hands-on strategies, I aim to make learning chess not only educational, but also enjoyable. Let's embark on this chess journey together! This is chess trainer Victor Hugo Collado. I am from Perú. My Elo rating is 1860 in classical games. My teaching method is based on my own experience as a chess player during 15 years. I think the most important part of a perfect training is that you can improve your skills and increase your Elo or rating little by little. Besides, we can study using the platforms of chess.com and lichess. Our main program is Chessbase17. My strengths are the ability to understand the middlegame concepts, for example: Centralizing your pieces, avoiding pawn weaknesses, avoiding creating weak squares in your position, keeping the bishop pair, etc. From my point of view as a trainer, I usually make the decision to spend 20% solving problems (tactics/puzzles), 40% studying a position, endgame or your opening and the rest of the 40%, it's time to play and apply some knowledge you have learned.

As a chess tutor, I specialize in teaching students of all levels - from high school to college to adult/professional learners. My teaching methodology is based on being thoughtful, creative, interactive, hands-on, and practical. I believe in using problem solving techniques to enhance the learning experience. I focus on using games as a tool to teach cognitive skills, helping students develop strategic thinking and problem solving skills. Through encouraging comments I aim to build confidence in my students, allowing them to hone their skills and excel in the game of chess. I use a practical technique in my lessons and chessbase 17. Also we could integrate new ideas to improve the opening and each lesson you will get a PGN with all the lesson resume. It is important to become familiar with chess puzzles and my priority as a coach is to be able to transform any complex chess idea and you could acquiere new level in a progressive way. However, if you want to learn chess for curiosity I can orient my teaching with some extra information about chess culture, grandmasters, my experience talking to Tittles chessplayers, etc. At the end of each lesson I will give you new challenges to do during the week.
