The square root of 1 is 1. The square root of any number is a value which when multiplied by itself gives the original number or the inversion of the square root is just squaring the given number just like how subtraction is the inversion of addition and division is the inversion of multiplication. The square root of 4 is 2.

By squaring 22 we get 4 thus the inversion of the square root is squaring the value and when they are multiplied they give the original value.
